Rebecca Parsons and her company Southwestern Light have been creating original pottery light fixtures in Santa Fe for over 25 years. These designs are now a defining feature of Santa Fe style. Their soft, subtle light evokes the sunsets of the desert Southwest.

Rebecca creates her work on the potter's wheel, using a traditional technique that has been practiced in Europe and Asia for centuries. This method allows endless creative variations and produces sculptural forms that are a perfect complement to the warm feel and curves of adobe architecture.

All pieces are made of highfired weatherproof stoneware clay. They come in eight natural clay colors that range from eggshell white and adobe to terra cotta and charcoal. The handthrown look is complimented by decorative cutouts and carving on the surface of the pieces.

The Ceremonial Series is Rebecca's latest design group. These pieces evoke ancient masks and headdresses through the unusual light patterns they cast.

Additionally, handsculpted Buddha statuary for your home and garden are Rebecca's newest creations. Click here for her new site:
